In Memory of William James Theo W.
Beloved Child

12-14-02 to 7-3-03

William James Theo W. was a beautiful, happy little baby. Everyone who knew him loved him dearly.

One Thursday afternoon, when William was just 6 months old, his mother and he were strolling down the sidewalk in town, They were at the crosswalk when an elderly man swerved to miss a young girl (who had gotten her license that day) when she cut him off. His car jumped the curb and hit William and Lindsay (William's mother). Both were hospitalized. Tragically, as a result of the accident, William passed away.

I received an email from a friend of Williams' mother, about 1 week after the tragedy occured. Her name was Christy. She told me about what had happened to poor William, and she begged me to draw a sketch for Lindsay, to remember him by. It meant a lot to her to make sure her friend knew that she would be there for her no matter what. I was touched by the story, and couldn't refuse.

"The Dance"
Written by Tony Arata, Sung by Garth Brooks

Looking back on the memory of
The dance we shared 'neath the stars alone
For a moment all the world was right
How could I have known that you'd ever say goodbye

And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain
But I'd of had to miss the dance

Holding you I held everything
For a moment wasn't I a king
But if I'd only known how the king would fall
Hey who's to say you know I might have chanced it all

And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain
But I'd of had to miss the dance

Yes my life is better left to chance
I could have missed the pain but I'd of had to miss the dance
